Rishi Kapoor and Karan Johar
Rishi Kapoor and Karan Johar More Pics
Rishi Kapoor is all set to do an important role in Karan Johar's remake of Agneepath.

Rishi's return to the film means that all is now well between Karan and Rishi Kapoor after a spat over the comments Deepika and Sonam made on his casanova son in Koffee With Karan.

Our source said, "Rishi was always supposed to do the role. However after the Deepika-Sonam episode on Koffee With Karan, Rishiji walked out of the film.

He was extremely upset with Karan and thought that he was the one who instigated the girls to make catty remarks on his son Ranbir. Following this controversy Rishi Kapoor walked out of Agneepath. However, during a recent police show, both Karan and Rishi met and when Karan went up to Rishiji everything was fine.

They hugged each other and made up. Now Rishiji is back in the film and the role will be one of the biggest highlights of the film."

In an earlier interview to Mumbai Mirror, Rishi Kapoor had said that he is not going to do Agneepath and that he would not be comfortable. Now all that is the past. Text messages sent to Rishi Kapoor and Karan Johar went unanswered.

Ranbir Kapoor seems to be unwilling about getting into his dad's shoes. Perhaps this is the reason why the actor refused to play the role of his dad in the planned remake of the popular classic AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY.
CHECK OUT: Neetu Singh thrilled with Ranbir's success

It's learnt that Ranbir was approached to play Rishi Kapoor's role in the remake of this cult classic. It must be mentioned that Arbaaz Khan is planning to remake the film with Salman in the lead. According to sources, when Ranbir was approached to play the character of Rishi Kapoor, the actor sprung a surprise by refusing to do so. On the contrary, Ranbir was keen on playing the role of Big B and nothing else.

Well, will Arbaaz grant Ranbir his wish or will Ranbir have to fit into his dad's shoes in the end, only time will tell.
The charming Ranbir Kapoor is living upto the Kapoor name. His performances in Wake Up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, and Rocket Singh hit the right note, making him the hottest talent in town.

Star Clan
September 28, 1982 saw the birth of the suave Ranbir Kapoor into the first family of Bollywood. He is the son of actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, great-grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor, and grandson of Raj Kapoor.

This six-footer studied at Bombay Scottish and his college years were at Le Strasberg Institute.

He was dating the actress, Deepika Padukone. However, their relationship seems to have hit the rocks. There are unconfirmed rumours that it was because of the vibes he shared with Katrina Kaif.

Getting Started
Ranbir Kapoor kickstarted his career in the industry, where his family already holds an impressive record, with Karma and India 1964 in 2004. He also donned the hat of an assistant director on the sets of Prem Granth, Aa Ab Laut Chalen, and the award-winning Black.

It was followed by a commercial movie with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. The much talked about movie hit the screens in 2007, where he starred opposite another newcomer Sonam Kapoor, a childhood friend and a star daughter herself. The movie did not make a big splash but his presence was definitely felt and he won the Filmfare Best Male Debut award.

His second movie, Bachna Hai Haseeno, released in 2008. He played a playboy opposite Minisha Lamba, Deepika Padukone, and Bipasha Basu. The response to the movie was both hot and cold.

The following year, all his releases were received well, establishing him as a star. In Wake Up Sid (2009) he played a laidback guy who is involved with an older woman. He was smitten by Katrina Kaif in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009), a happy and feel-good comedy. In Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009), he looked his part with a beard and a turban. The movie was a hit.
